Struck By Cupid's Arrow - Love Poems By A Teenager

Which is It?

You tell me you don't know
Whether you love me as a friend
Or with your soul.

You don't know what to do,
And cannot make up your mind,
So I continue to wait for you.

If you love me true,
Tell me so.
If you love me not,
I'll let you go.

I have loved you continually,
Since nearly a year ago.
I have waited for you lovingly,
But now I need to know.

Do you love me for my strength,
Do you love me for my heart.
Do you keep me for yourself,
Because you can't stand to be apart?

Can you watch me love another,
Can you be happy for me?
If I were to marry someone else,
Would you be there to see?

Is it only friendship
Is that all I provide?
Someone to lean on,
Someone in which to confide?

Or am I a constant thought,
Always on your mind.
The one that's better than the rest,
The one you wanted to find.

Is this something,
That has a long-term chance?
Or is this just an exercise,
In childish romance?

Could you see me as your husband,
Could you see yourself as my wife?
Am I someone in which you
Could spend the rest of your life?

If the answer is no,
Then we know what to do.
If the answer is yes,
I will wait for you.

I do not know,
Where this might end.
But I know I love,
The time that we spend.

I will always be your friend,
That is not in debate.
What I need to know is,
Could I be your mate?
